????Qingdao established another 9 academician and expert working stations in 2016, which brings the total number in Qingdao to 46, and 53 academicians work in them. This is according to the Qingdao Municipal Academician and expert working station conference 2017 held recently.
The academician and expert working station has become a key platform for Qingdao to introduce talents, projects, and for innovation-driven development strategy. By now the working station has cultivated 88 doctors, 179 masters, 265 mid-and-high level engineers. Another 3 new high-tech companies, 14 national tech platforms and 8 provincial tech platforms were added in companies with stations. The stations have 1,277 authorized patents, and lead making of 19 national standards and participated making of 16 national standards, and the number is 24 and 115 for industry standards respectively.
????Since 2009 when the 1st station was established, by now the units with stations have signed 363 contracts, 179 of them are finished. The Haier Group academician and expert working stations which got the 1st batch of model station cooperates with the China Academy of Engineering academician Wang Jun’s team to develop the 1st space refrigerator, which was carried out by Shenzhou 8, 9, and 11 to the space in 3 space tasks. It filled in the blank of China aero equipment.
????In 2017, Qingdao will introduce high-level talents from both home and abroad, and supports qualified companies to establish stations, and capably attract academician team with projects to establish stations in Qingdao. The city will give special support to companies in 10 future industries of Qingdao, they are brain science, quantum communication, nano new materials, and deep space/ocean/earth exploration, (Wang Pin)
