????5 Qingdao towns were selected into Shandong provincial feature towns, they are the Hongtan bullet train town of Chengyang district, the Jiaolai high manufacturing town in Jiaozhou city, the Lancun cross-border e-commerce town in Jimo city, the Dazeshan grape tourism ancient town in Pingdu city, and the Dianpu aviation culture town in Laixi city.
????Qingdao has released Opinions about Advancing Planning and Construction of Feature Towns recently. The city will build a new handle of economic upgrade and transformation and new platform of urbanization through the way of feature town construction to inject energy in building national key coastal hub city. Qingdao aims to build 50 feature towns with featured industry, feature culture, beautiful environment, and integrated life-and-work by 2020. (Cui Wu)
