????625 projects of 18 Qingdao scientific research institutes obtained financial support, which is more than CNY 260 million, in the review result about the national natural science funds application projects released recently. Among them Ocean University of China and Qingdao University entered top 100 national natural science fund units of 2016. The 1st institute of oceanography, SOA, obtained 35 million fund as the largest single fund.
????The national natural science fund was established in the 1980s with the aim to support fundamental researches. According to statistics, among all reviewed projects this year, 114 projects of Oceanology University of China were approved, the number is No. 74 in China, and the project got CNY 54.75 million subsidy in total.
